I spent my weekend running through a field of ramen noodles. Just kidding. Zack and I hit up the Los Angeles County Museum of Art over the weekend, and playing in this exhibit was probably the highlight for both of us.

Back in May (here), I mentioned that my goal for the summer was to visit more museums. Well, we finally visited our second, and the summer is practically over. I mean, the PSL will be back any second, and this weekend is Labor Day, so fall is LITERALLY right around the corner. But hey, we went to two, so I say the goal was reached.

So LACMA. . .definitely a mix of “oh that’s cool,” “they call that art?,” “a four year old could paint that,” and “. . .”. I do think it’s a bummer that some of the exhibits that seem super awesome (like the Rain Room and Guillermo del Toro) are an additional cost on top of admission.

Anyway, I threw on an asymmetrical cotton dress and some platform sandals. Comfort + beat the heat. Also, I must squeeze in the last few days of my summer wardrobe. Oh wait, this is LA, and I can wear this 360 out of 365 days. Honestly though, this dress can transition perfectly into the cooler weather. Layer it up with a jacket, sweater, or scarf, and pair it with your favorite boots (tights optional).

As for me, I will be escaping the heat a little this Labor Day weekend. Zack and I are headed up to Lake Tahoe to visit his sister, and the forecast says the high will be upper 60s!!

XO – Courtney
