Chasing Waterfalls

A

A couple weekends ago, a group of friends and I headed to Eaton Canyon for some hiking + waterfall hunting, and I’ve got to say, it’s one of my favorite hikes I’ve done in the LA area to date.

We decided to get there super early to beat the crowds . . . but apparently everyone had that idea. 9:00 and the parking lot was PACKED. Definitely recommend going on a weekday if possible, but for those of you with traditional Monday through Friday workdays, just wake up early one weekend.  Even with the crowds, it was totally worth it. The path is wide, the views are beautiful, and the waterfall at the end is the icing on the cake. You do have to cross over the stream several times, but it’s easy enough to stay dry.

Oh, and did I mention all the wildflowers? They are literally taking over Southern California and I am loving it.

your photography is really, really beautiful! Really surprised that the crowds had gotten there so early.. I usually find if you get somewhere even before 10am it’s usually not too busy!
