Well folks, it has been a crazy couple of weeks, and it’s not slowing down. In fact, I’ve tried to sit down several times to write this post, but something has always interrupted me, but here we go.
Zack and I moved into our apartment a week ago. Of course it was the hottest day of the year so far (hello, triple digit temps), but thanks to the help of some amazing friends (plus a little bribery with the promise of pizza, beer, and a pool) we knocked it out pretty painlessly. So it’s been a week of unpacking boxes and trying to figure out where things should go and spending all our giftcards from the wedding. And this cycle will continue for a few more weeks I’m sure until we are all settled in.
Which brings me to my next point. People always seem to associate summer with rest + relaxation, but I don’t think that’s been the case for me since high school (maybe college). I mean. . .last summer was a blast, but we had visitors or trips or SOMETHING every weekend. Sleep when you’re dead, am I right? Well, I’m definitely gonna schedule in some time for relaxation this summer. I want to enjoy the new place once it’s finally decorated, plus we have a pool. . .so. . .no excuse really.
And with summer practically right around the corner, it’s time to break out the warm weather wardrobe. I’ve been obsessing over this neckline style lately (tops, dresses, rompers. . .I can’t stop), and this little striped number paired with a denim jacket + a panama hat + some strappy gladiator sandals are the perfect combination to hit up a new brunch spot and then do some wandering around…and hey, those things can be kind of relaxing, right?
