Neutral Ground

Sometimes I go for bold prints + bright colors. Other times, the only pop of color is my pink hair. I don’t fear the bright prints + colors, but there’s nothing wrong with a good neutral outfit.

And all my neutrals will come in handy next month because Zack and I officially booked our HONEYMOON and are headed to London, Rome, + Florence!! (For those of you who are new to the blog or just don’t know, Zack + I got married in April but didn’t have the vacation time to take a honeymoon too so we decided to postpone and save up for later.) We recently started toying with the idea of January because it just seemed like it would fit both of our work schedules, but we didn’t know if we could put something together in such a short time. We ended up finding a great package deal for London + Rome (we are adding a day trip to Florence in there too), and before we knew it, we were booked for mid-January! So I’ll be pulling all the neutrals in my closest to pack in an attempt to not scream tourist.

This outfit won’t be making the cut for Europe though. It will be a little too cold in London + this isn’t exactly ideal for walking around all day, BUT it is perfect for our mild winters in SoCal. A comfy sweater dress + a faux leather jacket + boots (all in greys, blacks, or other neutrals). Finish the look off a dark lip because we are saying no to color + I’m obsessed with this lip color.

XO – Courtney

PS – If you have any tips for things to do, see, and eat in London, Rome, + Florence then comment away!
