Last weekend, Zack + I celebrated 11 years together. (Yes, we celebrate our wedding AND dating anniversary). Not that we need an occasion to try a new restaurant, but it’s always a good excuse.

We went to Catch for brunch and shared a lot of amazing food and, of course, got all sappy and reminisced over the last 11 years.

drinks // grapefruit spritz + lush lemonade 

share plates // catch roll [crab + salmon + miso honey] + poke bowl [ahi tuna + mango + avocado] + lobster mac & cheese

dessert // “hit me” chocolate cake [homemade klondike bar + brownie + ice cream + chocolate cake]

The drinks: The grapefruit spritz was refreshing (sparkling wine + gin + aperol + grapefruit liqueur), and the lemonade was the perfect fall cocktail (vodka + vanilla + lemon + apple juice).

The share plates: Perfect for sharing. I was never into the “raw fish” thing. I LOVE sushi but always go for the cooked varieties, but this past year I’ve slowly been branching out. The sushi and ahi poke bowl at Catch were so good, and may have just converted me completely. Mac & Cheese. A favorite dish of mine. Add in lobster (and huge chunks at that) and you can’t go wrong.

The dessert: Any restaurant that encourages you to play with your food is a winner in my book.

Overall thoughts: Excellent food. Everything tasted so fresh. And did I mention it’s a rooftop restaurant? SO the views are pretty great too. Sharing is encouraged, and I definitely recommend saving room for dessert.
