Cheers to Chareau

Courtney Hardy-Chareau 5

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I ate, drank, and shopped way too much. And that probably won’t be changing over the next month.

Christmas is in full swing at our apartment. As of last weekend the tree is decorated, stockings hung, and the Cocomotion has found a permanent spot on our kitchen counter (yes, we have a hot cocoa maker, and YES it is the BEST THING EVER).

And nothing says holiday cheer like a festive cocktail.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with Chareau, an aloe liqueur produced right here in California. The aloe is blended perfectly with cucumber, eau de vie, lemon peel, muskmelon, spearmint, sugar, and water, and you’re left with a truly refreshing drink on it’s own. But I wanted to have some fun and play on the classic gin + tonic.

The Chareau was the perfect compliment to this classic cocktail. Finish it off with a lime slice, and garnish with pomegranate arils and a sprig of thyme for a festive finish. Tell me this doesn’t look like the perfect Christmas cocktail?

XO – Courtney
