I think I can count on one hand the amount of cold days we’ve had here in LA (and by cold I mean the high is less than 65ºF). So while I’m still hoping for “winter” to get here so I can comfortably wear all my jackets + sweaters + scarves, most days it’s still short sleeves + sandals.
Honestly though, I shouldn’t complain. I don’t like to be cold, and the warm Southern California winters really haven’t kept me from wearing my sweaters + boots. And while I love a good jacket, sometimes they just cover up the cute outfit underneath.
Enter today’s look: fun colors + prints that shouldn’t be covered up by a winter coat. Most people gravitate toward darker and cooler colors in the winter like blacks + blues, but adding in fun silhouettes + prints are a great way to bring a little more life into your look. For this outfit, I’ve paired my dark colors with a dramatic neckline, a ruffle detail at the waist, and floral printed trousers.
Then everything gets pulled together with the little details. A pair of black block heels, geo hoop earrings, and a super versatile bag from Tobi that can be carried in so many different ways from a backpack to a shoulder bag. Obsessed!
To end today’s post, I just want to say thank you to all my followers, new + old. It’s been an exciting + crazy year for me (with this blog + in my personal life), and I’m looking forward to an even more incredible 2018!
This will be my last post of the year, and I plan on spending my last few days of 2017 relaxing + reflecting + ringing in the New Year with my husband, probably eating pizza, drinking champagne, and a having an all night movie marathon. Cheers!
