Weather the Weather

A

Spring is finally here in Budapest, and I’m so glad because the few weeks of winter I actually had to endure were enough for this California girl! But spring brings a myriad of things: warm days + cooler days,  warm days with cooler nights, sunshine + rain. . .and then you have to dress for the ever changing season.

Tees are a staple in my wardrobe right now. They work in all types of weather, are easy to pack (hello, living out of 2 suitcases for 4 different seasons), and you can find them in every color, print, pattern, etc. I saw this one at Mango and had to have it (graphic of “shoes by the month”). A simple graphic added to this white top makes it easy to wear, but adds a little fun to your look.

Another key to the perfect spring wardrobe: a light jacket. I’m obsessed with this anorak from H&M. It’s lightweight (perfect for a cooler day or evening), and it has a huge hood for those rainy days. And did I mention how much I love the print? I love how the tropical plants give off an almost camo vibe.

And finally, the white sneakers. Sneakers are everywhere right now (see here for more) from casual outfits to summer dresses to suits, which means our feet will finally stop hating us. And it couldn’t be better timing for me since I’m walking EVERYWHERE these days. The white is so easy to match, but the trick is to keep them clean (anyone got tips for that?). Scroll down for all the outfit details.

On a final note, it’s actually our last week in Budapest for a while. We leave this weekend for Madrid, Spain and will be there for a few months! So if you have any suggestions or tips for ANY city in Spain, sound off in the comments! Olé!
